For many items, US Domestic shipping is by USPS Priority Mail. Orders are generally shipped within 2 business days, and transit time is generally within 3 business days, without guarantee. Other items, like photography and large paintings, may have slower processing and transit times, and will be shipped by the method best suited for the article and the destination. 

International orders are generally shipped by USPS Priority International or USPS Express, transit time is a week or more, without guarantee, with additional time required for larger items. Some international shipments may be delayed by your country's customs office, please monitor tracking in case the carrier or customs need to reach you. Contact your local customs office prior to purchase if you have questions about your country's customs or taxation policies.  

In the event of postal loss or damage, we will file or aid with filing claims. If the carrier finds the claim to be valid then buyer will be compensated by insurance.

As with all vintage and antique items, please expect the subtle signs of wear and/or man-made irregularity that is the hallmark and authentication of aged and hand-wrought merchandise. Condition is relative to age and no condition assessment implies unworn, unused, showroom-new condition. Flaws that are seen by our camera will be visible in photos, lesser signs of wear may be too minor for our camera to capture. Loss of gilt or flecks of paint, mild discolors, small or faint abrasions, patina and metal wear, crazing and craquelure and other glaze imperfections, wear to bottoms of bases, lines of separation in picture frame decorations, and all other signs of natural wear on vintage and antique items are not considered flaws, but rather are valuable indications of authentic age. Please expect these discreet signs of natural age-appropriate wear on all your vintage and antique treasures.

Artist and maker names are relayed without guarantee. When necessary and possible, authenticity—including celebrity provenance—is confirmed to our standard, if you have your own criteria for determining authenticity of any item please employ it prior to purchase as transactions are not voided on the basis of discrepancy in perceptions of authenticity.

If you have a question about color we will describe the color as we see it though we can't guarantee that you'll have the same color interpretation. Measurements are approximate. We don't scrape or file or X-Ray metals to determine how much primary, secondary, or tertiary metals might be in any object. Our opinion regarding era, age, genre, style, material, medium, maker, technique, color, condition, origin, history, and all descriptive information may differ from yours and is offered without guarantee.

Paintings may have had retouch, reline, resize, restretch, or minor repair in their history that may be unknown by/unrelayed by us; backs of sealed artwork will likely not have been opened for inspection. Antique picture frames should be considered free with purchase of artwork, they will always show signs of distress, age, and wear including small losses of molded decoration; additional losses may occur in shipment and will not be covered by insurance nor are they a reason for refund, though all items can be returned for exchange or store credit within the return window (see Returns). Please notify us if you prefer to forego the frame and we will adjust the shipping price where possible.

After purchase, flat art may receive additional paper or fabric backing and/or improved hanging hardware at our discretion. All objects may be dusted, lightly cleaned and/or lightly polished before shipment. Any joined or applied elements (frame decorations, etc.) that might be at risk of coming loose in transit may be secured with quality repair and retouch mediums prior to shipment. When hanging artwork, please test capacity of walls as well as any hardware (hooks, wires, strings, etc.) that's been included with your purchase before hanging wall art, or consult a professional at your discretion.
