Vintage black silk tomesode kimono, can be worn as a robe or coat or dressing gown, with bold hand-painted and silver thread embroidered bird of paradise. Waist tie, silk interior. Kimonos are generally considered 'one size fits most' with relaxed fit measurements that can be larger than the wearer. It measures about 46" around where tied, the overall length is 62".
Condition is excellent with age-appropriate wear including the occasional tiny discolor, and other gentle age appropriate wear. As with all vintage and antique garments, age appropriate wear may include slight color variation or bleed on vintage and antique hand-dyed kimono textiles, light soil and/or discreet marks from previous use. A basting stitch (or the remnants of a basting stitch) may be found along the garments' edges—some kimono cleaners apply this stitch to hold the garment neatly in storage, it is easily removed if preffered.
