Mid-length 1920s flapper era black silk kimono, coat, or dressing gown, with elaborate gold and silver embroidered birds. Waist tie, silk interior. Kimonos are generally considered 'one size fits most' with relaxed fit measurements that can be larger than the wearer. It measures about 48" around, the overall length is 45".
Condition is excellent with only gentle age-appropriate wear. As with all vintage and antique garments, age appropriate wear may include slight color variation or bleed on vintage and antique hand-dyed kimono textiles, light soil and/or discreet marks from previous use. A basting stitch (or the remnants of a basting stitch) may be found along the garments' edges—some kimono cleaners apply this stitch to hold the garment neatly in storage, it is easily removed if preffered.
